Choose repository access scope

GitHub will ask which repositories Wergely can access:

โœ“
All repositories โ€” easiest, covers new repos automatically
โœ“
Only select repositories โ€” more control, add repos one by one
3
Step 3 of 3

Run your first snapshot

On the dashboard, select your repository and click Recompute. This starts a background job that syncs your PR history and computes health metrics. It can take up to 5 minutes depending on repository size.

Frequently asked questions

Does Wergely read my source code?
No. Wergely only reads PR metadata: titles, open/close/merge timestamps, author, reviewer identities, and review timestamps. It never requests access to file contents, diffs, or any code.
Can I limit access to specific repositories?
Yes. During GitHub App installation you can select "Only select repositories" and choose exactly which repos Wergely can access. You can update this at any time from your GitHub organization settings under Installed GitHub Apps.
How often is data refreshed?
Data is refreshed automatically every day. You can also trigger a manual refresh at any time by clicking Recompute on the dashboard.
What is the Governance score and why does it show 0?
The Governance score evaluates branch protection rules (branch protection, status checks, approval requirements, force push prevention, and stale approval dismissal). It requires Administration: Read permission and GitHub Pro for private repositories. If the repository is private and not on GitHub Pro, or if the permission isn't granted, the Governance pillar will show 0 and be excluded from the overall Health Score.
Can I uninstall the app at any time?
Yes. Go to your GitHub organization settings โ†’ Installed GitHub Apps โ†’ Wergely โ†’ Uninstall. This immediately revokes all access. Your cached data in Wergely can be deleted on request.
Does Wergely work with GitHub Enterprise?
Self-hosted GitHub Enterprise is supported via the PAT method. GitHub Enterprise Cloud (GHEC) works with the standard GitHub App installation flow.
